The group seeks to promote understanding among parishioners
of areas where there is injustice locally, nationally
and internationally so that parishioners will
be moved to take appropriate actions to remedy this.
The group also supports initiatives to benefit the
poor, such as Fairtrade, CAFOD and other similar organisations
which campaign to bring an end to world poverty and
support the poor in various ways. The group is not
involved in fundraising.

The Manna Day Centre for Homeless
and those in Need Fr Martin said a few weeks
ago that we would be starting monthly collections
for the Manna Day Centre. The first collection will
be at the Masses over the weekend of 26th/27th
July. Most needed items are:
sugar, powdered milk, soup, tins of tomatoes, vegetables,
ham and corned beef, curry and pasta sauces, soap,
disposable razors, shampoo, combs, deodorants, underwear,
coats, shoes and jeans, sleeping bags and film canisters.
Please do not donate anything that you would be unwilling
to use or wear yourself in its present state. Please
be generous. We will provide a collection box in the
narthex.
